Welcome to Amba Panchakarma Chikithsalayam Urakam, Thrissur

Amba Pharmacy was founded in 1976 by Shri K R Ramakrishnan Vaidyar , a renowned Ayurvedic Physician from the traditional Karanayil Family, which is located in Ettumana, a picturesque, beautiful village in Thrissur district, the cultural capital of Kerala. The reputed Karanayil family has its own name and fame in the field of Ayurvedic care and cureAfter serving the Government's Public health care system for 32 long years, K R Ramakrishnan Vaidyar got retired as Chief Medical Officer ( C.M.O) and started Amba Pharmacy. The firm was named 'Amba' after his mother 'Ammu Amma' ,as a tribute to her memory. Since it is nestled near the famous Urakam Ammathiruvadi Temple, the name ' Amba' also reflects the firm's divine connection to the temple Goddess 'Urakath Amma'.

After Ramakrishnan Vaidyar's sudden demise in 1982 , his son Dr K R Jayaprakash , who then was a lecturer at famous Govt, Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram took voluntary retirement and took over the reins of Amba Pharmacy to fulfill his father's dreams. Today Dr Jayaprakash's Sons Dr Jithesh K J , Dr Jithin K J and daughter in law Dr Rugma Udayan are carrying forward the legacy of Amba Pharmacy leading it on the path of wellness and success.
